I got an award from Concordia University yesterday for the UK thing! "In recognition of his efforts to make the world a better place," it says. It was a nice ceremony, other people got awards for things like raising money for orphans in Africa, restructuring the JMSB stuff, etc. I felt overrated amongst that crowd, but people clapped for me anyways. :3

The President of the university gave it to me, and she kept mentioning about how I got Concordia's name in the papers. Is that why I'm getting the award, as a publicity stunt? Oh well. I got pens too.

Also my birthday's on the 10th, what should I ask for?

My landlord charges $15 per month to use a crappy internet connection. There's at least ten of us living in the house, so that's 150 bucks a month total, 50 of which will go towards the monthly bill and 100 left in his pocket. I found out today that there's a 100 GB cap on this account, which has been surpassed. This connection's slow on the best of days, and now it's nearly at a standstill since our cheap landlord doesn't want to spend the rest of that 100 bucks on a BETTER CONNECTION.

As you may have heard, I'm a very active internet user and this is unacceptable. I have projects to study for and submit via the internet.

Screw you, landlord. Screw you, Bell, for putting a cap on in the first place and for charging extraordinary prices for lackluster service, while our friends in Asian nations enjoy cheap and speedy connections.

Maybe I'll move to Taiwan.

Tom was able to make a few phone calls from prison. He said that he never intended to do it, that he brought the knife, matches, and supposedly flammable liquid into school to show off or something.

May 30th
I got an unconfirmed report that he's being held in a "secure psychiatric unit".

Early March, 2010
Preliminary hearings begin.

November 2010
He's been tried, charged, and is staying in a secure hospital unit. He won't be released until approved by a medical board.

Hope he gets better.
