Just when I think I have something applicable for the Top 5 New Songs section, people bomb my stuff. Yeah, yeah, I know...everyone goes through it. But most of the stuff I submit is better than what ends up there anyway.

I hate sounding like a snob. Gah. I wish I were famous so anything I submit to the portal is seen as golden droppings.

yeah, that's about it. Just downvoters etc etc blah blah blah.
You've still got your fans. You'll probably get a top 5 spot when you least expect it. I, for one, got nominated for "song of the year" in that news thread by a guy I've been collabing with. There's no way that I've made the best song in the AP, but the recognition in itself was nice.

That's a hard combo to beat, they're pretty well known, and probably have a bigger/longer fanbase. MM-D and MR are classical gods on NG, B-M-I made a funny song for a friend that makes flashes, and PhysX made a sequel to a song that did really well. At least you're not losing to crap.
